Equity release
Financial product allowing homeowners (typically 55+) to release cash from their property. No equity release providers will lend on properties with spray foam.
Equity release products (lifetime mortgages, home reversion plans) are tightly underwritten because the lender takes the property's full value as collateral.
The HomeOwners Alliance has confirmed that no UK equity release provider will lend on properties with spray foam in the roof — even with insurance-backed guarantees.
Removal is required before any equity release application can proceed.
